Here is how it works. You get $150 and you must pick six candidates. If another candidate emerges before the first debate, I will decide where to slot them in (most likely under $10, but there are a few exceptions). You can change your picks at any time before the first debate. Once the first debate begins though, these are your picks. Remember, you have to pick six. Any leftover money will be converted to points (I am not sure the exact multiplier yet).
The scoring will work like this:
Primaries (States-50 of them)
1st Place: 25 Points
2nd Place: 20 Points
3rd Place: 15 Points
Primaries (Non-States-7 of them)
1st Place: 20 Points
2nd Place: 15 Points
3rd Place: 10 Points
Debates (12 Total)
Winner: 20 Points
Invite: 5 Points
Major Endorsement: 10 Points (determined by 538’s endorsement tracker)
Minor Endorsement: 5 Points
Candidate Endorsement (After they withdrawal): 20 Points
Withdrawal: -5 Points
Picked for VP: 50 Points
Win the Nomination: 100 Points
Scandal: -10 Points
Trump Twitter Mention: 5 Points
Shit. Really need to make that damn excel file.
You did send me one, a scoring sheet
Too late to join this, Josh? My 17-year-old son is actually interested. He’s all into this. (And, dumb question, is this real money or just pretend?)
Not too late and just pretend. I can invite you to the Facebook group…
