Damn. Seriously Brent Weeks…damn! How long was this book? It felt like 12,000 pages. However, it tied up everything from the previous books nicely. I do not want to try and recap the book at all, it would take me hours to just write it all out and honestly, I can barely remember what happened at the beginning of the book.
After the last book, I said that I would not be able to find a way to describe this book to someone if they asked for a quick synopsis. There is no easy way to do it. It is like WOT in that regard. There are just so many sub-plots. One of the things I found most interesting was the whole other gods (or immortals) story and wish Weeks had spent more time on it.
I hope that Weeks continues writing stories in this world. Or did he hint that his next story will be about a young girl? Since the immortal told Kip that she might be needed to help a girl on another world…
Anyways, if you like a long, sprawling fantasy series, then definitely read this one.
