2018 Fantasy Baseball Week 10

I was winning 7-4 going into Sunday. Lindsey picked 18 strikeouts, a save, and kept her WHIP low enough to come back enough for a tie. I thought I had it still when my team hit three home runs to take that category and give me a 6-5 lead, but then Freddie Freeman hit a home run to tie us up. I seriously had a feeling she would come back, she had a few pitchers starting on Sunday and I had none.

KOW–Brandon Crawford–KOW

Dude was on fire this week! Four runs, two home runs (one off Max Scherzer), six RBIs, and one stolen base. Those starts are impressive on their own. However, the most impressive stat: a .696 OBP! He got on base 70% of the time this week. He also hit .611. Small sample size obviously, but that is a pretty insane week. I wonder if that performance will net him a Player of the Week award? If not, he should be honored to receive the KOW!

Around the League

Matt 7 Ryan 3
Jason 7 Offord 3
James 9 Adam2 3
Gideon 7 Dustin 5
Sean 7 Pat 4

Winners keep winning and losers…well I think you know where I am going with that one. Gideon had a pretty tough matchup with Dustin, but other than that, the rest of the matches were not very close.

Best Move of the Week

Lindsey picked up Clayton Richard on Sunday. Definitely a smart move. He nabbed her a win and five strikeouts against the Marlins. He also helped keep that WHIP down by contributing 0.71 to the cause. I was hoping streaming a pitcher on Sunday would blow up in her face (like he got rocked early and the Padres just leave him in…bad enough that it actually hurt WHIP/ERA), but fortunately for her, it worked out well.

The New Week

I am still in fifth place and this week I take on James, who is in seventh. Lindsey stays in second and takes her chances against Dustin (I keep saying that his team is better than the record). Offord is going to try and stop his fall in the standings, tenth at the moment, versus Matt, who is in eleventh. Last place Ryan takes on Pat…come on Pat, keep him in the basement! Gideon obviously stays in first place and he has a tough one against Adam2, who dropped to sixth. The most intriguing matchup is Sean & Jason, four vs. three respectively. If Sean wins, he can close the gap and jump into third, but if he loses and the top three all win, then we could start to see some major separation between the top teams and the middle. Personally, I want the top teams to stay close, so I can continue to make ground on them.
