2019 Fantasy Baseball Week 7

This was a hard fought victory against Gideon. He was beating me all week, but fortunately I was able to overtake him in the counting stats. My victory comes on the shoulders of four players, who had more HRs & RBIs than Gideon’s entire team: Kris Bryant, Freddie Freeman, Byron Buxton, and Eduardo Escobar.

Fantasy Player of the Week
I am happy to be completely wrong about a player. Before this season I was sure that Josh Bell would go down as another failed prospect. A guy who never quite hit his potential. He is proving me wrong already this season! I am pretty sure he is the reason Sean beat me last week and he definitely helped propel Sean to a victory by hitting four home runs, scoring six runs, driving in ten, while batting .407 with a .484 OBP.

Around the League
James 10 Matt 1
Pat 9 Lindsey 2
Sean 6 Ryan 5
Offord 7 Jason 4
Adam2 8 Dustin 4

Best Move
This may not qualify as a great move, but it is definitely an odd one. Ryan dropped Robinson Cano for Edward Encarnacion. I am not making fun of that move at all, just wanted to point out where both players are in their careers. Two guys who were usually keepers or at least top round picks, now are sitting on the waiver wire.

The New Week
James extends his lead after that dominating performance. I moved up to second place, but I am still seven games behind him. Lindsey dropped to third and is two and a half back of me. From there we have Adam2, Sean, and Ryan. They are 13-13.5 games back. Then we have the next tier which includes Gideon, Dustin, Jason, and Pat (15-16.5 GB). Finally we have Matt and Offord.

I should have an easy week with Jason, his team is struggling at the moment. James has a test against Sean & Josh Bell. Ryan battles Gideon, Matt goes against Dustin, and Offord faces Pat. The big matchup is Adam2 versus Lindsey.
