Well…at least it was not a loss? I had to claw my way back to get the tie and I am pretty much okay with it. My pitching is still fairly disappointing, especially in the ERA/WHIP department, but I think as the weather warms up, a few guys will start to pitch to their normal levels (also, I should probably never start anyone at Coors Field).

Damn! Jake looked like his old Cy Young self against the Pirates the other day. Seriously, ten strikeouts over seven innings, no runs. He only gave up one hit and walked two for a spectacular 0.43 WHIP. I hated to watch him shutting down the Pirates in such a dominant way, but part of me was happy from a fantasy POV. If he can pitch at close to this level all season, I will definitely be glad to have drafted him. It still does not make up for the worst trade of all time though.

Best Move of the Week
Sean dropped Alex Cobb this week and picked up Jose Alvarado. You may think that is a fairly insignificant move. I mean, does anyone even know who Alvarado is? Well he is a relief pitcher for the Rays. Why is this a big deal? Alvarado picked up two holds for Sean this week. Those two holds were good enough to give Sean the win in holds (Adam2 had one). If he does not have Alvarado, then they end up tied 6-6. Well done Sean!
This tie brings my record to 13-22-1 and moves me up to 9th place. How cool is that? I am slowly climbing the ladder. I take on Ryan this week, who is not having a good year at all. He is in last place, so I look for him to beat me 12-0. We have some other fun matchups this week: Matt/Adam2, Jason/Lindsey (who would have guessed they would be 2nd & 3rd at this point), Gideon/Offord (is Gideon going to run away with the regular season again, then lose in the playoffs?), Pat/James, and Sean/Dustin.
