Remember last year when we finally bought an Echo Dot and welcomed Alexa into our house? Since then we have added a few more. I bought smart plugs and bulbs last year. It is cool because the Christmas tree is connected to one and all you have to say is Merry Christmas Alexa and then the lights come on. We bought another Dot for the living room and Lindsey bought an Echo Flex for the playroom. I have them all synced so we can play music throughout the house.
Payton loves asking Alexa to play music and it is funny hearing the interaction. “Alexa, play the song from Jasmine!” It got to the point where we had to add Amazon Music because we were playing so many individual songs. Logan also enjoys it, but he just screams and points when he wants you to play something.
Recently I did one of those COVID-19 surveys online where you get a $50 Amazon Gift Card and I used it to buy the new Echo Dot 4 Alarm Clock. In my lifetime, I have owned two alarm clocks. The first one I got when I was a young kid and I used it for a long time. Then, when I moved to Pittsburgh in 2007, I bought a new one. I decided it was time to upgrade.
Crazy to think where our house will be in another year. Probably have smart speakers in the bathrooms.
