2019 Fantasy Baseball Week 22

All I had to do was have a decent weekend and I would make the playoffs. I even convinced my wife early in the week to not check her team. She had like zero chance to make the playoffs and I begged her to just give me a chance. My team was winning all week and then they played awful over the weekend. It ended up as a tie. My playoff aspirations were dashed, mostly because I stupidly had my wife not set her lineup each day. I bet if she, I would have won WHIP (although, we may have tied in wins, so I guess it would not matter).

Fantasy Player of the Week
The two best fantasy players for the past week played against each other. Austin Meadows had the better week (9 R/4 HR/8 RBI/1 SB/.522 AVG/.593 OBP), but Ketel Marte was right there with him and since he was owned by Dustin, who won the week, then it looks like Marte is the player of the week. He also hit four home runs, scored six times, knocked in fourteen, and had a .542 AVG with a .577 OBP. Even though Dustin won pretty big, it was a close matchup and Marte was a huge part of that win.

Around the League
Ryan 8 Matt 3
Dustin 8 Pat 2
Jason 7 James 4
Gideon 8 Offord 4
Sean 7 Adam2 5

I would have needed to win big to surpass Adam2. He made a good comeback against Sean, since early in the week he was getting crushed. James lost to Jason, which also knocked him out of first place.

Best Move
Not too many moves this time of year aside from James streaming pitchers. I finally dropped Corey Seager. I have Kevin Newman and Seager has been lackluster the last month or so. I guess it was too little, too late.

The New Week
Ryan and James have byes this week. Sean takes on Gideon, while Dustin faces Adam2. Down in the consolation bracket, Lindsey and I have byes. Matt takes on Pat and Jason gets Offord.

Here are the final regular season standings…
