We have had our comforter since we moved into our first house. We took it off when Samson was a puppy because he kept chewing everything. Eventually he got over that and we went back to it. After a few years, I quickly began to hate having a duvet cover. Washing it, then putting it back over the down comforter was a pain in the ass. Also, it was getting fairly worn (most of the buttons that seal it up had fallen off). Plus, the down comforter was getting a bit lumpy from being washed and dried.
I asked Lindsey a year or so ago to buy a new one. She is not the most decisive person in the world, and it took forever to find one she liked. Anyway, she finally settled on and it arrived today! I immediately put it on the bed, and if it was not snowing, I would have doused the old one with gasoline and torched it.
I guess now we need new curtains…that should be a quick decision for Lindsey.
