It is time for fantasy baseball again! I have renewed our league and will be getting the keeper information out at some point soon. I am guessing everyone is back again for another fun year. I would like to add a few more teams, so if anyone is interested, click HERE.
I know some of you will be afraid of the prospect of committing to a fantasy baseball league since it is such a long season. That is the beauty of this league! A bunch of us pay attention all year. There are a few that stop following in June (which is about when the Pirates are mathematically eliminated from playoff contention). It is free to join, there is no money involved (unless we want to make some side wagers this year, haha), so why not give it a try?
I am going to ask a poll question in the Facebook group (yeah, there is a Facebook group, so if you join the league, you get to be in an exclusive club!) about the unique situation of Ryan’s keeper. Normally as the commissioner, I would make a ruling on something like this, but since I was involved in the trades (basically what happened was this: Ryan had Acuña and traded him to me (it was the final year of keeper eligibility for Ryan). Then, Acuña got hurt. Ryan offered me a package deal and he took the injured Acuña off my hands. Ryan believes that his time should reset (meaning he could keep Acuña for three more years). I do not believe that is right. I think that would be opening a door for too many shenanigans. So I have decided to all the rest of the league to decide Acuña’s fate.
