Last year was super easy to pick my favorite book. My initial thought was the Joe Abercrombie book I just finished. But as I looked through the books I read, I realized it was probably in my top five from this year. The Star Wars High Republic books were very good, but the best of that bunch was definitely The Rising Storm. The fourth Bobiverse book was great, although I think it came out at the end of 2020. Same with Malcolm Gladwell’s book that I read.
After much thought and rereading my blog posts about the books, the best book I read this year was Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. It was the book I talked about with anyone who would listen. I swear Lindsey has heard about the entire story at least ten times. Hell, I told random folks at work about it. Oh and I am even more excited about the movie because I heard that Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are directing. Them with Ryan Gosling starring? It should be good.
