Live/Bush/Our Lady Peace Concert

Lindsey and I went to Pittsburgh to see Live & Bush with Our Lady Peace at Stage AE. This was what we did for each other for our anniversary. We were going to stay down there, but Payton had her first day of pre-school the next day, so we decided to just come home.

The concert was fantastic. It was cool going back to a concert. I have not been to one in probably ten years. I have seen Our Lady Peace and Live multiple times, but this was my first time seeing Bush

Our Lady Peace started things off. They were considered a special guest, so I guess that is a nice way of saying opening act. They only played for a half hour, I think only six songs. Naturally they were great.

They ended their show by crushing it with “Starseed.”

Next up was Bush. There was a cool moment during the show where Gavin Rossdale went into the crowd. Instead of just going through the lower level, he walked up to the lawn, then came back down the walkway right beside us. Naturally everyone tried to push up against where he was to get a picture. This guy in front of us did not stop talking about how he touched Gavin’s sweaty arm. I am pretty sure the guy may have had an orgasm when he touched him.

They played a ton of their classic stuff. Gavin was actually pretty funny at times. He made a joke about how they had to play a new song and that people would grumble, but that it was a good song and everyone would like it.

Live put on the best show of the night. They did two covers: “Losing My Religion” by REM and “Paint It Black” by the Rolling Stones. Ed even did a little Mick Jagger dance while singing.

Also, they played one of my favorite songs, “Shit Towne.”

It was the 25th anniversary of the release of Throwing Copper and they played a bunch of songs from that album.

It was a great concert and hopefully we can hit up some more in the future.
