Conor Oberst

Someone at work recently recommended that I check out Conor Oberst’s new album Ruminations. I had never heard of Conor Oberst, so he had to explain that he is the main guy from the band Bright Eyes. This then showed how behind I am on music, I had to explain that I had no clue what he was talking about. So…after a few minutes of listening to Bright Eyes songs, which I had heard before, but did not know who sang them (look, I am out of the music loop, I am quite fine with it), I said that I would check out some of Conor’s solo stuff. I listened to most of the album this morning and absolutely love it. My favorite song is probably “Tachycardia.” I definitely recommend checking out the entire album. Reminds me of Bob Dylan (and not just because of the harmonica, but the actual use of lyrics).
