All I wanted for the first week was to beat Sean. Things started out good, I was crushing him after the first few days, but then my hitting decided to just quit. Funny thing about Sean’s team, he has Marcell Ozuna, Jack Suwinski, and Byron Buxton…those three guys could easily combine for 100 HRs this season, and a combined average of .200.
Difference Maker
This year instead of focusing on some player in the league that did something, I am going to keep these posts about my team/matchup. This will be either about why I won or lost. My pitching was good, but Sean managed to win three of the categories despite only putting up four wins.
Sean drafted Cole Ragans in the 9th round. Ragans started two games last week, picked up zero wins, but struck out 16 with a 1.46 ERA and a 0.89 WHIP. If Sean does not have Ragans, it is probably a much closer matchup (not doing the math to figure out if I would have won ERA/WHIP). Too bad the Royals wasted two great starts from him. Also, kudos to Sean for drafting him in the 9th round (I think Sean was on auto-draft, which makes sense…)
Round 1 goes to Sean! I will have my revenge…but first I need to defeat Jason.
