This is Jammin’ With Josh. Each week I take a look at one of the bands that I love. Or perhaps it will be a band that I just discovered and think you should check out. Or maybe it will just be a way for me to post music videos. Honestly, no one will ever know.
Many, many years ago, I downloaded a song by an artist named Ben Kweller called “Lizzy.” It was such a good song and I wanted to know about Kweller. He was a young kid (actually he was close to my age, but whatever). I listened to a few of his songs and was always hoping he would make it really big.
Here is the cool thing. He did make it somewhat big. But even cooler, Lizzy…was his girlfriend at the time and now is his wife. They have two kids. How cool is that?

Kweller has performed with Ben Folds and plenty of other big names during his time. I recently read that he has a new album coming out in 2019. His last album was in 2012. I wonder if he took some time off to spend it with his wife and kids? If so, I can definitely respect it. I think I will have to follow him on Instagram and check out his new stuff.
Fun fact: he had a small role in the film Rudderless, which was William H. Macy’s first film as a director.
Wow, I forgot all about Ben Kweller! Jessica and I saw him as part of The Bens tour (Folds/Kweller/Lee), possibly at Penn State.
Now I’m going to listen to Sha Sha on repeat all day at work tomorrow.
