New Glasses!

The kids had their yearly eye appointment, and they both got new glasses. Their eyes got a bit worse since then, looks like they are going to take after Lindsey and me! Fun fact though, my eyes have stayed the same for like the last five years (or maybe more, I honestly cannot remember). They got so bad, and then just decided that enough was enough.ย
Logan went with blue Oakley frames again, but these are a little bigger, and they actually have a screw in them (so if the arm breaks off, they are actually broken, unlike his old ones that just snapped back together). Payton went with a bigger frame, and they really look nice on her face. She wanted some cheetah print ones that were really massive, and they looked a bit silly. Fortunately we talked her out of those.
We had a discussion about contacts for Payton. There is a special kind that can help slow her visual impairment. Even before that though, she asked about contacts. I got contacts in 7th grade. Not sure how old Lindsey was. My brother got them around the same time as me, so he was in 4th grade I believe (unless he waited a little bit and was in 5th?). But Payton is in 2nd grade. It just felt a little young to me. But, we said we would think about it. And we did. We came home, and we discussed it with Payton, and gave her the pros and cons. She understood, and actually showed a ton of maturity about the entire process. Honestly, I think we will probably get them next year for her.ย
That is all I got, just a quick post about glasses.
