Dispatch & O.A.R. Concert

My brother and I went to see O.A.R. and Dispatch at Stage AE in Pittsburgh last night. We had tickets last year when Dispatch was supposed to play at Penn State, but the show was canceled because of COVID (I think a member of the band got it, maybe?). 

We met up with some friends at Southern Tier and had a few drinks and food. It was raining pretty hard when the show was starting, so we stayed there for a bit, then went over a little before 7:00. It stopped raining and was a nice night for a concert. We missed G.Love & Special Sauce, which was not a huge deal since I think between all of us, we could only name one song. 

Dispatch came out a few minutes after we got there and they naturally brought tons of energy. They played all of the songs I wanted to hear. Plus they did a great cover of CCR. Then O.A.R. played a mix of new and old stuff. It was a great show, but there is just one problem with shows at Stage AE…they are too short. O.A.R. played probably the shortest version of “That Was a Crazy Game of Poker”, which was a weird thing to see. However, the best part of the show was the encore when Dispatch and G.Love joined them to do a few songs including covers of REM and U2. 

It was a great night with my brother and some of our friends. I hope we can do more concerts in the future. Enjoy some of the short videos from the show…
