Anyone who is a fan of the comics knows that Mysterio is not a good guy and he is a master of illusion. I am guessing he is telling the truth about being from a different world, but he was not the hero on that world.
I think the idea of a multiverse will have some fairly big implications. My guess is this is how the MCU introduces the Eternals. Also, I think this is the way they can bring the X-Men & Fantastic Four into the fold. My FF theory is pretty solid, even though it did not happen in Endgame (which makes sense…I liked that they focused on this story and did not set up the future…much).
