The Three-Body Problem

I have wanted to read this book for awhile. Unfortunately, it did not live up tot he hype. I liked it, but it was a tad bit slow early on (and slightly confusing–which may be a ME problem, since I listened to the audiobook, and the names were Chinese, and they were tough to remember–like I said, that was a me problem).

I did like the last quarter of the book, when things really got interesting. When our main character, Wang Miao starts to learn about Trisolaris, it picks up quickly, and we find out about the invasion force coming to Earth. It was just interesting enough to make me want to read the next book (if anyone has read the series, is it worth continuing?).

Also, what about the television show, is it good? How faithful of an adaptation is it? It feels like the type of show that could really improve upon the book, or it could really screw it up.
