More Draft Stuff

With the NFL draft completed, I decided to mention a few things I noticed.

-Congrats to all the Penn State players who were drafted.
Yetur Gross-Matos–Panthers–I thought he may end up going in the first round. He will be a stud for them.
KJ Hamler–Broncos–I know my brother is happy about this pick.
John Reid–Texans–I think Reid has the potential to be one of those above-average corners. You know, someone who may not get a ton of picks or even that many break ups, but he will cover well, which will mean balls do not get thrown his way, you know what I mean?
Cam Brown–Giants–I like Cam Brown and I hope he can make it, but I could see him fading out of the league in a few years (I hope I am wrong).
Robert Windsor-Colts–One of my favorite players last year and he reminds me of one of those guys who just seems like he has yet to peak.

-Good job Patriots on taking a kicker who is one of those weird 3%er nuts. Look it up if you do not know what I am talking about…it seems to be very on brand for the Patriots.

-Speaking of New England…I am guessing that Belichick has a plan for QB. Cam Newton? Or will we see some blockbuster trade? Dak? Aaron Rodgers? I would not put anything past them. They drafted two tight ends when Fromm and Eason were still available.

-I think the Eagles were on auto-draft. I think that is the only way to explain taking Jalen Hurts when they did. I know people are suggesting they might use him the way the Saints use Taysom Hill, but I feel like they could have waited later to take Hurts OR went the Saints route and take someone like Tommy Stevens.

-I am not that into the Steelers draft. I think Chase Claypool is a fine pick, but there were better WR options at that point, such as Bryan Edwards or Devin Duvernay (I really like Duvernay, I think he would have been a good deep threat for Ben). I do like Alex Highsmith, I think he will be solid. Did anyone mention to the Steelers that Maryland was bad at football last year? A safety? He did have a bunch of tackles against Ohio State…but those were probably since the Buckeyes ran for like 10,000 yards that game.

-And finally we have the QBs. I think Burrow and Herbert are the best and will end up being very good. Cole McDonald is the QB I am most interested in watching down the road. I know, a 7th rounder is nothing exciting, but I watched him a few times last year and I thought he looked great in the Hawaii Bowl (almost 500 yards and four TDs).
