Best of 2024: Favorite Phone Game

I have not had a favorite phone game post in years since it was always Sudoku. Way back in 2014, I played 2048 constantly. Once I hit 4096, I quit playing it and never really thought about it. Payton has been playing it on her tablet (she says they play it at school), and I decided to download it again and give it a shot. I managed to hit 4096, but could not get past it. I was curious to the all-time high score, so I checked Reddit. I learned that you can use the undo button, and get some pretty high scores. Soooo, I started using it. My best score is 8192, and I was close to getting 16,384. 

I know some purists out there will talk some shit on this use of the undo button. But, I would like to point out that the game, especially on my phone, is extremely sensitive. I will scroll up, and it will do two moves instead of one, so I feel like the undo helps with that crap (also, the undo only allows one move back). 

Anyways, I enjoy playing the game because Payton and Logan are always amazed at how good I am. I try to explain my strategy to her, and she sort of gets it. Her high score so far is 512. She did discover that if you get a game over, you can hit undo, and eventually the respawn block may change (so like if you needed a 4, but keep getting a 2, if you undo it enough times, eventually a 4 pops up–but I play the version with ads, so every time I hit undo, I have to watch an ad…she does not, she has her game through a school app).
