I listened to a bunch of podcasts this year. I feel like 538 and Pod Save America had at least two episodes every week, and they had a bunch of special shows. They were all great and I listened in every week.
My favorite new podcast was Hall of Shame. This is a weekly podcast that highlights a story from sports that is not so great. From cheating in the Boston Marathon to a police raid in Washington. Every week it seems like Rachel Bonnetta and Rachna Fruchbom bring a hilarious take on some of the darker sports stories.
However, my favorite podcast was the short series Nice White Parents. I listened to the entire thing while pressure washing the fence. It was one of those podcasts that you cannot stop listening to, but at the same time you get frustrated because you can see where things are going and how people/institutions do not change and constantly make mistakes. I highly recommend listening to this one if you have not.
