2023 Fantasy Baseball: Keepers & Draft

I think I will write about fantasy baseball this year. I may change it up this year and do something different each week. Maybe I will stick with the music thing that I used to do.

Keepers…

Yeah, a giant chart of the keepers, just what everyone wanted to read! I kept Mookie Betts, Manny Machado, and Nolan Arenado. This is my final year of Betts & Machado. I decided to keep them over Gerrit Cole, and then use my first picks to go after starting pitchers.

But what is that saying about having a plan until the first punch? Yeah, as the fourth round started, I realized that none of the pitchers I really wanted were there and damn, Corey Seager looked really good. After that I went for Bieber.

With Springer available, I decided to change tactics. Maybe try to win some hitting categories for a change instead of relying on pitching. From there I drafted some pitchers, but I picked up some solid players. Buxton, Estrada, Arraez, and Benintendi. I have a bunch of guys who could see an explosion in stolen bases this year with the rules change.

Pitchers…well, I have some collateral that I could use to flip for some pitching if need be. I am feeling fairly confident in my team. And sadly if things are going poorly because of starting pitching, I believe I could make moves to become a streamer. It would be hilarious to win another title, but this time using the strategy of The James.

It is going to be a fun season! I am ready to get back to the championship.
