This week’s episode of Arrow featured a pretty grisly death. Diaz is about to take a shower in his jail and the water that comes out is actually gas. Someone then throws a lighter into the room and he catches on fire.
As most people are aware, the actor who plays Diaz is Kirk Acevedo. He was on the HBO series Oz as Miguel Alvarez. He did not murder anyone by fire or anything like that, but the way the lighter flies through the air reminded me of the first episode of Oz.
Dino Ortolani dies in a similar fashion. He is doused in lighter fluid, but then a match is tossed into cell and falls toward him. It was a pretty cool moment in the show, especially since Ortolani seemed to be the shows main character and by the end he was a pile of charred bone. Damn, I miss that show. I may watch it again…
