Yesterday we learned about the tragic shooting at Judge Esther Salas’ home, where her son was killed and husband was injured. It turns out that Judge Salas is to preside over the case against Deutsche Bank. The shooter was found dead a little later from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
If you were on Facebook yesterday when the news broke, people on the left were claiming this was a hit on the judge who will be handling the case that would open up Epstein’s books. People seriously think that Trump (or some of his fixers) did this to send a message to her.
The odd thing to me is that these people usually make fun of conspiracy theories and mock right-wingers who believe all of the “Killary” nonsense. And yet here they are supporting something equally as wild.
It does not sound to me that this case is what people are claiming. This is a class action suit against the bank by investors who are saying the bank did not monitor high risk clients properly. That seems to be a bit different than “this will open up the Epstein ledgers that show who paid for sex with underage girls.”
The lawyer who committed this crime sounds like he had some issues. He was all for men’s rights. He had several lawsuits against bars over ladies night and even tried to sue Columbia University over their Women’s Studies program. He did try a case in front of Salas and wrote about how he did not like her (I am simplifying). His crazy rantings seem like he believed his life was going to end soon (cancer) and he decided he would try to take out a few of the “evil feminists” that were ruining America.
Look, if Trump and his people were going to put out a hit, wouldn’t they find someone with more skills? Someone that would maybe shoot the right person? Also, why this judge? The same argument I use about the Clintons also applies here. If the Clinton Family was killing all of these people, then how come Monica Lewinsky is alive? That makes no sense. Why kill a judge on a case that will most likely reveal nothing about Epstein’s clients? Why not off all of the other people who have dirt on Trump?
Hopefully people will try to be a little more critical when something happens, but I doubt it. The media was very quick to report the connection to Epstein yesterday when this first happened, which did not help.
