Ever heard of The Hellacopters? I never had either until I moved in with Justin at State College Park. He turned me onto them and I was immediately hooked. I have two of their albums (another band that it was extremely difficult to find their stuff back in 2002ish). Even trying to illegally download them was a challenge.
Funny thing. After Justin graduated, he moved out west. I think to Oregon. He was not a social media guy, so I lost touch with him. I think we hung out once when he came back to PA a few years later, but that was about it. Anyways, about two years ago, I decided to search for him. I found an article about fish in Alaska (Justin went to school for fishery stuff and he was a huge fisherman, my dad really liked Justin). So I saw that the article had an email for him and I sent him a message. Turns out it was him and he had moved to Alaska for work and was married with kids. Glad he is happy and always thankful for introducing me to The Hellacopters.
So yeah, if you want some solid rock & roll, like something that sounds like they are Southern rock, then I highly suggest checking out this Swedish rock band.
