2021 Fantasy Baseball Draft

The draft was tonight and I am not even remotely sure how things went for me. I like my keepers. My plan was to take some pitchers after that, but the elite pitchers were basically all gone by the time we hit my fourth round pick. I guess everyone who did not keep three went for pitchers.

I took Jose Abreu then I went for some pitchers. Snell, Glasnow, and Maeda should be a decent trio. I took Stanton next because he was down there and I thought that maybe he will be healthy and get back to being a 40+ HR hitter. Probably not, but whatever.

The Perez pick was a little weird. But allow me to explain. I never seem to have a catcher. After that, things went downhill from there. I did like zero research this year, and I have not paid much attention this spring. I thought Ke’Bryan Hayes is probably one of my better picks. Not much from the Pirates will be good, but he is probably the lone bright spot.

Then I went for the old guys who may still have something in the tank…McCutchen and Kluber. Look, if they have anything left, then I will look smart. I took Austin Riley because I honestly think he could have a good year. He has power, he just needs to keep his average up, so he is definitely low risk, high reward. Finally we have Cristian Javier. Yeah, I do not know why I took him.

As always, good luck to everyone and hopefully we have another fun season.
