I need some help…
Okay, not mentally, although I am sure most of you thought that when you read the title.
I need some help with something house related. Lindsey and I want to make the side of the house our main entry. Basically you would walk across the patio and then enter the house through the mudroom. I mentioned this before (maybe a few times). Once the patio was done, my stepdad came over and put some steps in, so we could use the mudroom door. Lindsey’s dad and I installed a screen door (I know, I am pretty much a handyman at this point…just kidding, I suck at this). Unfortunately, the steps do not have a landing, which makes it awkward to open the door, especially if your hands are full.
Here is what we want: some kind of landing. Also, I cannot think of how to make the landing/new steps blend into the patio so it looks good. I have plenty of leftover pavers (like a ridiculous amount). Unfortunately, we do not have a ton of money leftover (we had a few other projects that took precedent this year). So this might be something for next summer. Or if someone wants to give me some designs and free advice, that would be awesome. Also, free help is always appreciated, haha.
I am thinking something about the width of the siding, that goes out far enough so the steps lead right to the patio. Perhaps some pavers around the steps (I would probably pull the white rocks back a bit, not really sure though).
As you can see, there is plenty of space for something here, just need to figure out what it could be…
And finally we have a picture from the other side…and c’mon, did you really think I would do this post without Payton & Samson?
