Who: Beto O’Rourke, Member of the House of Representatives from Texas
Slogan: “Beto for America, Beto for All”
Positive: Even though he lost to Ted Cruz, the Senate race elevated him to pretty much a household name. At one point he and his family were being called the new Kennedy family. Immigration is his passionate issue, he supports comprehensive reform and being from a border area in Texas gives him a strong voice on the subject.
Negative: Not nearly as progressive as he seems. The Left hates that he has taken money from oil companies (but c’mon, it is Texas, all of the money is oil-related). He is also fairly inexperienced. He also has some criminal history (a DWI way back in the day), which should not exclude him, but will definitely be brought up.
My Thoughts: I love this logo. It just screams TEXAS! Unfortunately, I think Beto’s star burned too hot during his Senate campaign. He needs another strong, viral moment to help ignite that passion from his supporters. Also, I have this fear that if he were to win the nomination, Trump would have a field day making fun of him. Think about all of the “couldn’t even beat Lyin’ Ted Cruz” tweets.

The betting sites have been giving him crazy odds. I think Bovada had him as the front-runner awhile back, before Biden announced. Insanity.
