The Office Floor

I had to finish some stuff with the basement steps (I am not thrilled with how it all came out, so I am not sharing pictures until I get it to where I like it) yesterday. While I was working, Lindsey cleaned up the office and had it all ready for me to take everything out so I could do the floor in there.

When I finished the basement section, I had a few boxes of flooring leftover and we decided it made sense to use it in the office. I was fairly certain I would have enough to do the entire room, but if I ran out, I wanted to get it done before we had an estimate for the carpeting (in case we had to have the whole office carpeted, or maybe some in the entrance). I had like three hours before I had to pick the kids up at daycare, so I decided to take everything out of the room and remove the carpet and pad. That only took a few minutes, so I figured I would clean up the floor and maybe start the floor…

I ended up getting the entire thing done in two hours. Yeah, my flooring skills are improving! Or this room was super easy since it was basically square. 

All I need to do is finish the baseboards in the basement (and tweak a few things with the stairs), then have carpeting installed. Maybe then the basement will finally be finished and we can start enjoying it again!
