2023 Golf Picks–The Open

I did quite well with the U.S. Open. My guys finished in first place at -6. I was the only person under par, and beat the next person by 13 strokes. At one point, I believe after day two, I was at -30. I am in second place for the year behind Ryan by 15 strokes. Here are my picks that will lead me to victory…

Tier 1: Rory McIlroy–He has played well in the majors this year, minus the Masters, plus he won the Scottish Open, which seems to be a good precursor before hitting The Open. I like his odds.

Tier 2: Collin Morikawa–He won it two years ago, but missed the cut last year. He has been up and down this season, but I think he is healthy and competitive enough to have a top finish. Also, I like his overall play for The Open, I believe his style is well-suited for Royal Liverpool.

Tier 3: Min Woo Lee–Yeah, I took him before and it did not pay off, but the tier three options are not great. Most of them have not had much luck at The Open, or they are playing poorly recently. Not a great combo.

Tier 4: Denny McCarthy–He flies under the radar, but he just always seems to be in the top twenty. I think he has missed the cut like twice all season.

Tier 5: Harris English–Not too much in this tier that looks good right now.

Tier 6: Danny Willett–I can see Danny having a good start, making the cut, then dropping down the standings. Fine for me, I just need all my guys to make the cut.
