2024 Fantasy Baseball: Playoffs Week 2

This was an ideal semifinal for me. Ryan took down Offord, which means Offord stays a few years behind me (as long as I continue to not make the playoffs) in the points race, and Sean is denied a chance at the championship. Yep, I am totally being petty, but whatever.
Okay, let me talk about the matchups…
First up we have James vs. Sean. It looks like Sean tried to battle James on his turf. It looks like he was streaming pitchers, which is never a smart move against James. But, I will give Sean credit, he almost equalled his opponent (they tied in wins, but James won Ks). Sean had no real chance though, he was starting Jake Cronenworth at 1B against Bryce Harper. Jake hit .056 to Bryce’s .364. Guess who won in HRs? Yep, Harper. Also, James crushed Sean in the hitting categories…37 RBIs to 12.
In the lower half of the bracket, we had Ryan & Offord. How many times have these two guys played each other in the playoffs, usually in the finals? If I am looking at my spreadsheet correctly, they faced each other in the finals twice. Honestly, Ryan won this matchup easily. But I need to point out that his team had 14 stolen bases! How does that happen? Victor Robles stole five bases himself. Kind of crazy.
Ryan and James battle this week for the championship (obviously). Ryan is going for his 7th championship, while James is trying for his first. I will probably write some history stuff after the season ends. Good luck gentlemen!
Oh yeah, Gideon won the fifth place game against Jason. Cool. And down in the consolation bracket…who cares, I did not even look to see who won. I wonder if I can get rid of the consolation matches for next year?
