Shazam!– Teaser Trailer

Okay, before I mention my thoughts on this movie…what is up with teasers? It used to be that a teaser was just something that gave you a brief idea and then maybe a mention of what the movie was. For example, years ago the first Transformers movie did a teaser where they showed the footage from a Mars rover and before it is destroyed, we see the outline of a Transformer. We do not actually see the robot…here it is:

And that is how it was for years, right? Now, the teaser is just a trailer. An effective teaser for this would have been Billy Batson meeting the Wizard and when he says Shazam, we get a lightning strike, and then it fades to black and we get the symbol. That would be a teaser. But whatever, that is just a small quibble I suppose.

Anyways…I think it looks pretty cool. DC looks to be going a more light direction (however, with Shazam–I am guessing they will avoid calling him Captain Marvel–it makes sense, since he is a kid who gains these tremendous powers). I do enjoy that they have not completely scrapped that universe. Or rebooted it. Perhaps they can claw their way out of this black hole and make some fun, entertaining movies.
