A Complete Unknown Trailer

I think most of you know that I am a huge fan of Bob Dylan. I heard about this movie and thought it was a terrible idea. I like Timothée Chalamet, but I just could not picture him as a young Dylan. But after seeing the trailer, I see it. I also am glad he is not trying to do an impersonation of Bob Dylan, which is what some fans want. Biopics are not usually my thing, but I will definitely check this one out.

The most exciting part is Boyd Holbrook, who was excellent in Justified: City Primeval and Logan, playing Johnny Cash. I think my favorite Cash/Dylan story came from the 30th Anniversary concert, where someone is telling the story of when Bob Dylan met Johnny Cash “he walked around Johnny like he was a big oak tree, looked up at him and said cool.” I hope a scene is like that in the movie.

Also, James Mangold is probably the best possible director for this type of movie. The last biopic that I really enjoyed was…Walk the Line. Or maybe I should clarify that to musician biopics. I am sure someone will remind me of a movie that came out after that I enjoyed and be like “technically that is a biopic.”
