2025 Fantasy Baseball: Keepers & Draft

I am not sure if I am going to write about fantasy baseball this year. Honestly, I almost considered not renewing the league this year. But, a few folks convinced me to continue. I dropped two teams, which I hope makes the league a little more competitive.  Anyway, I figured I would write about the keepers and draft, just in case I decide to do a weekly write-up. Who knows.

I kept Gunnar Henderson and Pete Alonso for the second year. Alonso had a down year last year, and was a little disappointed by his contract, so maybe he will have a huge year to prove the doubters wrong. I acquired Corbin Burnes in a trade last year, and you know how much I love keeping a starting pitcher.

After the keepers were inserted, I had the first pick of the 4th round (I honestly contemplated keeping just two players to give myself another pick, but I figured I would end up with Burnes or Alonso regardless). My strategy, if you could call it that, was to keep taking starting pitching, but also to sprinkle in some hitters. I think I have a more well-rounded team, but there are plenty of question marks, or at least players who must have big years.

Good luck to everyone! Ryan will probably win again.
