Decades Project: 1960s Music–The British Invasion

The 1960s music is mostly known for the British Invasion. British bands did not catch in the United States in the 50s and early 60s, but then as The Beatles started to gain popularity across the pond, there was a demand for them here. Once they broke into the charts, other British bands followed. The next thing you know, all the bands were British. The impact this invasion had on music has been…discussed and written about by musical historians and musicians far more eloquent than myself. So read some of that stuff. Enjoy some of the music from that time!

These are some of the first songs from these bands that hit it big in America. Not the first song ever by these bands, nor are they the biggest song by them.
