2025 NFL Pick ‘Em Week 16 & College Football Playoffs First Round

I was tied for first last week! I mean, we only got seven right, but whatever. Seven is better than five. I am now in second place, and just one point behind Michael and Jon. I did my picks this week, and feel very uneasy. I took almost all favorites, so I went back and changed a couple. This might be bad.

Underdog Special: Pittsburgh Steelers (+7.5)
Damn, I was excited when the Lions were winning at halftime, then the third quarter happened. Damn damn! This week I am going with the Steelers. This is the kind of game that Pittsburgh wins. I know, that is crazy to say since the Lions can score some points, and the Steelers cannot. But listen, the most Pittsburgh thing ever would be to win this game, then lose to Cleveland so that it all comes down to the Ravens game in the final week. Credit to my friend Matt for that analysis.

Steelers Prediction: See above. Last week I was right about them winning, but I was off about it being close.
Steelers Prediction Record: 8-6

When things are not going well, you might as well go a little crazy. Going with a five leg this week. This should end badly for me.

Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman, Oklahoma
#11 Alabama Crimson Tide (10-3) at #7 Oklahoma Sooners (10-2)
Favorite: Oklahoma (-1.5)
O/U: 40.5
My Score Prediction: 21-17 Oklahoma
My Take: I think they said Alabama has not lost to the same team twice in a season since 1899. Well, I think it happens this year. The Sooners defense will force Simpson to make mistakes, and Oklahoma thrives in these low-scoring tight games.

CFP First Round–December 20th at 12:00 p.m.
Kyle Field in College Station, Texas
#9 Miami Hurricanes (10-2) at #8 Texas A&M Aggies (11-1)
Favorite: Texas A&M (-3.5)
O/U: 48.5
My Score Prediction: 34-31 Texas A&M
My Take: I want to say this game will be a close, back & forth battle. But, I could also see the Aggies just giving the Hurricanes a beat down. 

CFP First Round–December 20th at 3:30 p.m.
Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi
#21 Tulane Green Wave (11-2) at #6 Ole Miss Rebels (11-1)
Favorite: Ole Miss (-17.5)
O/U: 56.5
My Score Prediction: 31-17 Ole Miss
My Take: I know, the Rebels crushed them earlier in the year. However, I think this will be a little closer. My guess would be the game starts off slow, the Rebels finally take control in the 4th quarter and put the game away with some turnovers.

Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon
#20 James Madison Dukes (12-1) at #5 Oregon Ducks (11-1)
Favorite: Oregon (-21.5)
O/U: 47.5
My Score Prediction: 35-7 Oregon
My Take: I really want to pick JMU for the upset. But…I live in reality and think the Ducks will give them a thrashing.
